New Orleans, LA (April 7th, 2023) – The Gulf Coast Premier League (GCPL) is pleased to announce the conference alignments for the upcoming 2023 season. The men’s division will feature three conferences – West, Central, and East, while the women’s division will have two conferences – West and East.
The Men’s Division conferences are as follows:
West Conference: CTX Lobos, Daggers CTX, FC Sharp Keys, Shreveport United, Strikerz DFW
Central Conference: BRSC Capitals, Central Louisiana FC, Crescent City FC, Gaffa FC, Louisiana Krewe II, Southern States SC
East Conference: Florida Roots, Gulf Coast United, Hattiesburg FC, Pensacola Bay United, Sowegans SC, Union 10 FC
The Women’s Division conferences are as follows:
West Conference: Baton Rouge United, Cajun Rush, Central Louisiana FC, Flowood FC, Mississippi Blues, Shreveport United
East Conference: Florida Roots, Gulf Coast United, Hattiesburg FC, Pensacola FC, Union 10 FC
The playoffs will be determined by PPG as each conference has an uneven number of clubs. Conferences with six clubs will play a total of 10 games, while conferences of five will play 8 games.
The 2023 GCPL season will commence on May 6th and conclude on July 9th, with the playoffs scheduled to begin from July 15th. The GCPL Cup Finals will be hosted at a neutral venue on July 29th, and the location for the same will be announced shortly.
