Game 4: New Orleans United

WHO ARE NEW ORLEANS UNITED?
Formerly 14th Ward FC, New Orleans United joined the GCPL ranks in 2021 after participating in the GCPL Fall Tournament Showcase in 2020. Since their inclusion, the New Orleans squad has been steadily building their foundation and getting acclimated to the regional competitive landscape. Player coach, Ibrahim Belkouche, has seen success in the GCPL, having helped his club win the 2019 GCPL Cup and was selected to the GCPL All-Central Conference team the same year. Thus far, our cross town opponents have struggled to record a win, having most recently given up a 3 goal lead to Gulf Coast United, losing 4-3.

NOTABLE PLAYER
All on eyes on up and coming midfielder, Joenn Lanza. The 22 year old native returns home coming off of his best collegiate campaign with Guilford College, starting in all contest while recording three assists on the season. Very much like his Grace King HS predecessor, Hisham Abdelaziz, Lanza possesses the ability to read games very well and keep the opposing teams chasing.
