WHO ARE BRSC CAPITALS?
The Capitals recently rebranded with both Baton Rouge Soccer Club and former Baton Rouge Capitals owner, James Vilas, joining forces to merge both entities. The Baton Rouge Capitals operated in the USL PDL from 2007-2011, having their most success in 2010, reaching the national finals. Baton Rouge Soccer Club operated their men’s team under the Baton Rouge United brand, having joined the GCPL in 2017, where the club saw little success. 2021 is a new era for the Baton Rouge club and started their summer campaign with a 5-2 win over New Orleans United.

NOTABLE PLAYER
Tyler Bridgewater has created a name for himself in the Louisiana youth scene. Recently signing for Mars Hill University in North Carolina, the 18 year old started off his GCPL career with two goals, helping lead his club to a 5-2 win last week. The 6’1 forward brings a lot of athleticism and attacking prowess to the BR squad.

Bridgewater graduated from St. Amant HS in 2021.
