Crescent City hosted Gulf Coast Galaxy in a closed doors, invitational friendly over the weekend.
“It was a successful prelim to our vision for 2020” said club Director, Jonathan Rednour. “We had a chance to bring in some top talent from around the area and share with them our plans for 2020”.
Included in the roster were local young players such as Ethan Garvey (Holy Cross – LA Fire), Ashton Perkins (Jesuit – LA Fire), Conner Walmsley (St. Paul’s – CYSA) and Nestor Peralta (Grace King – LA Fire). Along side the youngsters were a few veteran leaders like forward Reece Wilson, midfielders Leo Barros and Grant Guthrie, and defender PJ Lynch.
“We were able to get a good look at a good core of younger guys and some veterans” shared club Vice President, Robbie McCray. “We will have a few more friendlies in the coming months and will be continuing to scout the area for the best talent available.”
