New Orleans, LA – (October 19th) Crescent City FC has announced former Honduran international, Wilmer Peralta, as the head coach for the GCPL tournament showcase.
“Wilmer brings a level of professionalism to our squad that we feel will be beneficial heading into 2021.” said CCFC General Manager, Jonathan Rednour. “He’s been successful at the current level we’re operating in and is very eager to grow with our vision.”
Coach Peralta featured for Honduras internationally and had a successful playing career in Honduras playing for CD Olimpia, Real Espana, Pumas UNAH and CD Vida.
“I want what’s best for football in New Orleans.” said coach Peralta “The vision of Crescent City aligns with my mission to work with the best talent we have living here in the city.”
The 43 year old manager was voted GCPL Coach of the Year in 2019 after leading FC New Orleans to the GCPL title and has had success coaching in the local ranks.
“He brings a level of prestige for us that will attract the best New Orleans has to offer.” said CCFC President, PJ Lynch. “We’re excited to give him the reigns and help us build for 2021.”
